Mitsui Mining and Smelting Co Ltd, Japan's largest zinc smelter, plans to produce 104600 tons of refined zinc and 35300 tons of lead in the first half of the 2024-25 fiscal year (April September 2024), an increase of 0.9% and 4.7% compared to the same period last year, respectively.

In the 2023-24 fiscal year, the company produced 103700 tons of zinc and 33700 tons of lead in the first half of the year, and 114100 tons of zinc and 37700 tons of lead in the second half of the year
