In April 2024, Nippon Steel Stainless Corporation (NSSC) raised the price of 300 series cold-rolled stainless steel sheets by 10000 yen per ton, mainly due to the increase in raw material prices leading to increased costs.

This is the second increase after the increase in cold rolling of 300 series stainless steel in March. It is reported that other manufacturers in Japan have also raised the prices of 300 series cold-rolled stainless steel sheets.
